Chapter In Action
We have been Commemorative Partners for the 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War. We participate in a number of activities that include honoring veterans by pinning them with the commemorative pin and giving them certificates and stickers. We were part of the Lapeer Quilt of Tears event and make wheelchair bags for those in wheelchairs. We collect personal items, books, hats and scarves. We make lap robes, twiddle muffs (for those with dementia) to donate to veterans at the Aleda Lutz VA Hospital in Saginaw. We walk in the Memorial Day parade and participate in a wreath laying ceremony.
